Updated October 27, 2026. The new Veil of Darkness is tied to the Dress to Impress crossover quest in Roblox’s The Hollow event. The important detail: reaching Floor 5 is not enough on its own. Current walkthroughs say you must first complete the correct quest and then claim the accessory from its display. Players have reported that the room can be tricky to locate after a hub change, but Roblox has not published a fixed minute-by-minute “hub reset” countdown.
Quick answer: Complete Chapter 1 of Dress to Impress’s Tales of the Dark King, confirm the Hollow Dress to Impress quest badge appears on your Roblox account, return to The Hollow Hub, go to Floor 5, find the Dress to Impress reward area and interact with the Veil of Darkness pedestal. Roblox says event rewards can be collected until noon Pacific time on November 2, 2026; that official deadline is more reliable than an unverified reset timer.
What is the Veil of Darkness?
The Veil of Darkness is a Halloween-themed avatar reward linked to the Dress to Impress quest within The Hollow. Current third-party guides describe it as a free UGC reward, not a code redemption or Robux purchase. Keep the badge and item separate: completing the boat quest may award the badge, but you should still return to The Hollow and interact with the Veil display. A badge notification alone does not prove the accessory is in your inventory.
Step 1: Complete Tales of the Dark King Chapter 1
Open The Hollow on Roblox or enter Dress to Impress and use its Hollow event entry. In the Halloween area, speak with Lana, follow the path toward the docks and start Chapter 1 of Tales of the Dark King. The main objective is to keep the ferry moving until it reaches 180 meters.
Keep the lantern fueled
- Transfer fuel from Fuel Storage to the lantern while the ferry is moving.
- When it stops, leave the boat and collect the required Fuel Orbs nearby. Current walkthroughs describe two stops, with 10 orbs collected at each.
- Return and refuel the lantern so the ferry can continue.
- When Drowned Souls climb aboard, approach them and hold E to push them away, following the live on-screen prompt.
- At the end, follow the floating light and wait for the completion/badge confirmation before leaving.
Step 2: Confirm the correct badge
Before searching Floor 5, check your Roblox badge list for the Dress to Impress Hollow quest completion badge. The event has multiple badges, so do not assume any badge from a participating game unlocks this item. Current guides identify Chapter 1 of Tales of the Dark King as the prerequisite.
If you finished the ferry but cannot find the badge, check whether the ending sequence actually completed. Re-enter Dress to Impress and verify the quest status before repeatedly searching the hub.
Step 3: Return to The Hollow and claim the Veil
- Return to The Hollow Hub after the Dress to Impress quest is complete.
- Use the elevator/lift to reach Floor 5.
- Search the current floor for the Dress to Impress room or reward area. Do not rely on a fixed turn-by-turn route recorded in another session.
- Approach the Veil of Darkness pedestal and interact with it. Follow the live claim prompt.
- Open your Roblox avatar inventory and confirm the named item appears.
What if the room moves or the pedestal is empty?
Community reports say the room can be difficult to find after the hub changes. That does not establish an official reset schedule. Roblox’s event announcement provides a reward-collection deadline but no fixed Floor 5 reset timer. Treat any exact “resets in X minutes” claim as unverified unless the live game itself displays that countdown.
- Room not where a guide says: Re-check the current Floor 5 layout and search side areas for the Dress to Impress room.
- Pedestal does nothing: Confirm the quest badge is on your profile, leave and rejoin The Hollow Hub, then interact again.
- Badge earned, item missing: Check your avatar inventory separately. Rejoining and retrying the display may help, but no universal delivery-time guarantee is published.
- Quest did not complete: Make sure the ferry reached the end and the completion sequence finished. Tickets or another Hollow badge are not a substitute for the required quest badge.
How long do you have to claim it?
According to Roblox’s official event announcement, The Hollow’s live finale is scheduled for October 31, and players can continue collecting rewards until noon Pacific time on November 2, 2026. This is the clearest published event-wide deadline; it is not evidence that the Veil room resets at a particular hour. Complete the quest and claim the item sooner rather than waiting for the finale.
